Hi All,

Seniors
WHERE SHOULD I MAIL YOUR FINAL TRANSCRIPT ON MAY 23????
This is something I MUST know.

I need for you to write the complete name and address and zip code of the institution to which you wish your official transcript to be sent. I must have this on a piece of paper OR by email BEFORE the last day of school.
Your transcript CANNOT be emailed to you. To be official, it must have the CTK seal, institutions will not accept it without the seal.  It will not be possible for you to get an official transcript from me after May 29. Please don’t forget!!!

AP Testing
AP Testing begins this week!! And continues into the following week!
Please be aware of times and dates of the test you are taking. We will be administering AP tests in the PFC. And they are ALL 8:00 a.m. tests—so don’t be late….. Please be on time!!
Teachers you can expect these students to be out most of the morning—as these tests are all at 2-3 hours long—please don’t count them absent…

On Tuesday, May 6, during your Religion class, I will be meeting with 11th and 12th graders who are taking the AP tests. We must complete pre-administration student packets and information sheets.
Here is a list of the AP tests we are administering and the students who are taking them.

Next Year’s Juniors—this year’s Sophomores
I have received applications for New Century Leadership. If you consider yourself a student leader, if you like to serve, if you have good ideas, if you would like to start to learn how to change your city into a better place for the future, if you want to represent CTK in a city-wide organization with the other high schools in Lubbock, you need to apply for New Century Leadership. NCL is a program that is sponsored by the Lubbock Chamber of Commerce. The NCL class meets the first day of each month beginning in September, 2008 to April, 2009—yes, if a meeting falls on a school day—you are out of school in an NCL meeting. You must complete an electronic form, but I will give you a practice form to fill out before hand. PLEASE DO THIS—it is an awesome opportunity for YOU!!! It will be the first time that CTK has had students to participate in New Century Leadership.

All CTK Students
This is the season for a lot of trips, competitions, etc which necessitate your missing class. Please don’t forget that YOU are in charge of getting the work you missed while you were out. Remember if you have “0”—it takes 3--100’s to make up for that “0” and get your grade back to passing--the same thing for missing assignments. You are shooting yourself in the foot if you don’t turn things in—for whatever the reason!!!  Don’t drop the ball now with only three weeks to go!

Have a good week!
