A message from the

Diocesan Superintendent

On behalf of our faculty and staff along with our school’s leadership team, I would like to welcome you to Christ the King Diocesan Schools.  Since 1957, our private school has achieved a well-deserved standing for setting high academic expectations and a nurturing Christian school environment. As a result, the students of Christ the King continue their educational careers well prepared. The balance of having a quality education as well as a solid formation in faith is priceless.

CTK offers a unique education that aims to give students the guidance necessary to lead a full and Christian life. A common core of beliefs create an environment that displays this distinctiveness. Furthermore, we integrate the teachings of the Church and gospel values to create a Christian atmosphere. In addition to our faith and community, we recognize Christ as our model and inspiration. Our faith given in the form of worship, prayer, and service is a part of a larger faith community. We express concern for others with a focus on social justice. We reach out in faith to those in need in our community.

The dedicated teachers of Christ the King Schools understand the importance of setting high academic standards for their students. Students are taught structure and study skills in the primary grades that are utilized not only in Junior High and High School but throughout life. For this reason, when students leave CTK, they are extremely successful in the continuation of their education. Equally, they have a great work ethic that they carry with them in their careers and in life.

Our Christian school is fortunate to have the support and leadership of Bishop Robert Coerver, Bishop of the Diocese of Lubbock, and Father Jose Kochuparambil, pastor of Christ the King Cathedral. They are extremely supportive of Catholic education, and with their passion and dedication, I believe that we will continue to see new opportunities for growth in the Catholic educational system in the Diocese of Lubbock.

Thank you for your interest in our private school. If you have any questions or would like to schedule a tour of our classes, please call the school office at (806) 795-8283. We would be happy to visit with you.

Sincerely in Christ,
Christine Wanjura
