Mission

Lubbock Private SchoolChrist the King Diocesan Schools, as an extension of the teaching office of the bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Lubbock, assists our students in discerning their individual calling from God, providing them a college preparatory education within a holistic framework to become their best selves to be sent out into the world to minister as Jesus did.

We, as Catholic educators, believe:

Education taught with diligence and integrity increases knowledge and skills. Fostering a philosophy of education encourages lifelong learning. With this in mind, professionalism is shown by respecting and preserving the privacy and dignity of students, parents, and colleagues. As a result, we uphold the authority of our school when communicating with the CTK community as a whole.

child-focused educators

We, as child-focused educators, believe:

Students receive respect and are valued and acknowledged for who they are as unique expressions of the Creator. Students who think and question with integrity grow in learning, personal development, and authentic spirituality. All students learn the joy of responsibility while developing their capabilities. Students learn best with high and clear expectations and relevant assessments which are authentic and aligned to these expectations.

We, as people of God journeying together in faith, believe:

We are a unique creation of God who unconditionally loves each of us, and more importantly, we are educating through the mission and ministry of Jesus Christ. The life, death, and resurrection of Jesus are the foundations of the Church and CTK. Our staff seeks to deepen the faith of their students through the spirit of prayer, shared worship and service to the community.

Our School, as a Christ filled learning community, believes:

Together with the church and home, proclaim, teach and witness the Gospel through our Catholic education ministry. We are welcoming, inclusive, compassionate, and celebratory. We join with parents to raise children with a social morality to strive for peace and justice.
