Christ the King School has not been immune to the different viruses hitting other schools in the area.  We are taking as many precautions as possible, but it is not stopping the progression of flu, strep, stomach bug, and the “fever only” virus.

As a reminder students must be fever free (without medication) for 24 hours before they can return to school.  They cannot return to school if they are still taking Tylenol, Motrin or Advil for fever.  If students are suffering from vomiting and/or diarrhea, they cannot return to school until they have kept food down for 24 hours or they have not had a bout of diarrhea for 24 hours.  We understand that you have to go to work, but sending children back to school while they are not well only prevents them from getting well and staying well; and it also keeps the germs alive and running rampant here at school.
Please remind your students to wash their hands often, to not to eat off others’ trays or drink from their friends’ cups or water bottles.

Please be vigilant and cautious with these illnesses. We want all of our students back in school, but we want them to return well and healthy.  Thank you for your support and attention to this matter.
