All CTK families are required to complete 20 service hours (10 hours for single parents) for the 2018-19 school year. To help you fulfill your requirement, here are some upcoming opportunities and contact information:
CTK Café – Volunteers are needed daily in the CTK cafeteria from 10:30am-2pm – whether you can work all lunches or just an hour – we can use your help! Contact Marcy Gonzalez in the café at email@example.com or call the school office at 795-8283.

PSIA District Academic Meet @ CTK on 2/23 – Parents whose children are participating in the district meet will be asked to fill dozens of volunteer positions for Saturday, 2/23. Watch your email for a sign-up genius link to sign up. After participants’ parents are signed up, additional volunteers will be needed to fill in the gaps.
CTK Garden – Help is always needed in the garden, and it’s a great way to fulfill your required hours. Saturday work days are scheduled for the 3rd Saturday of each month (next one is Saturday, 2/16, from 1-3pm). Everyone is welcome to come help with various projects in the garden. If you would like to volunteer in the garden, or would like to provide other support whether it is materials, time, or talents please contact email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org.
NEW! Readers for Read Across Texas Day on Friday, 3/1 – Parents and grandparents are invited to sign up to read to elementary students on Friday, 3/1, between 9:30am-1:30pm. SCRIP Sales – Volunteers are needed to help with sales before and after CTKC masses the first weekend of each month. The next weekend for selling is 3/2-3/3. Service Hours Guidelines: We ask that at least half of your required service hours for the year (20 hours for two parent homes & 10 hours for single parent homes) be actual time volunteered at school activities & events. Guidelines for equating service hours for donated items and financial support can be done at the rate of $10-15/service hour turned in (for example, a donated item worth $30 would equal 2 service hours).
Logging your completed hours: To enter completed volunteer hours, log into your family RenWeb account. Click on the “Family Information” section on the left side of the screen. Select the name of the parent who completed the volunteer hours (located in the middle area of the screen), and then click on the “Service Hours” tab in the box to the right of the names’ list. After you select this tab, you will see a summary of hours already entered for the year. To add additional hours, click on the “Add Service Hours” tab and fill out the form including date of service and click on the “Save” button (the “Verified by” section does not need to be completed).
Incomplete volunteer hours will be charged to families at the end of the school year at the rate of $25.00 per incomplete hour.
